MARCEL NAULT 1938 - 2000 Peacefully and surrounded by family, Marcel passed away on August 15, 2000, at St. Boniface General Hospital. He leaves to mourn his wife Jeannette (Sabot) his son Colin and daughter-in-law Connie; Paul, Rose, Colin, Justin and Jeremy. He also leaves four sisters, Leona Pellerin, Ann (John) Sawatsky, Lucille (Marius) Arnal, Paulette (Jim) Graham. He will also be lovingly remembered by Eveline (Eugene) Saindon, Angelina Laurin, Donat (Lina) Sabot, Irene (Frank) Baron, Juliette Sabot (Sally Perchaluk), Marcel (Monique) Sabot. Numerous nephews and nieces will also cherish his memory. Marcel was predeceased by his parents, Napoleon and Bernadette Nault; three brothers, Raphael, Lionel and Roland; three sisters, Celina Vincent, Edna Vandal and Blanche Champagne. Marcel was born in Richer in 1938 where he attended school. He joined the army at the age of eighteen, initially serving as a paratrooper and later an instructor. Following this, he worked in construction and security services. Marcel will be remembered as a kind and gentle man, very devoted to his family and friends. He was a special human being who took time to listen and show genuine interest in others. Marcel and Jeannette had a unique relationship, the cornerstone of which was love, respect and loyalty. For Marcel, Colins birth was Gods greatest blessing and his years were dedicated to nurturing this relationship not only as a father, but also as a friend. Marcels deep faith allowed him to accept life with gratitude. His courage and perseverance in meeting lifes many challenges will continue to be a source of inspiration for all those who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Boniface MICU for their care, help and kindness. Marcel felt indebted, in particular, to one physician and friend, Dr. J.J.G. Gobeil, whose compassion and care were a constant source of strength. A mass in celebration of Marcels life will be held on Thursday, August 17 at 10:30 a.m. at la Paroisse du Preciuex Sang, 200 Kenny, St. Boniface. Father Marcel Chaput will be presiding. In keeping with Marcels wishes cremation has taken place. If you wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Thank you, Marcel. You will live in our memory forever.
