MARGARET PATRICIA KILLINGBECK (nee ANDERSON) It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the death of their loving mother on August 14, 2000 at the South Centennial Manor in Iroquois Falls, ON. Pat was born on March 17, 1916 in Winnipeg, MB. She was delivered into this world at home by her father, Dr. Robert Brodie Anderson. She was the only daughter with three brothers, Brodie, Robert and Alan. Pat attended nursing school at the Winnipeg General Hospital, and worked in the O.R. where she met her future husband, Dr. Roberd Norman Killingbeck. They married June 17, 1944, and had many wonderful years together. They lived all over Ontario at various times: Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Midland, Hearst, Matheson and Timmins. Upon retirement they moved back to Winnipeg. Pat always stayed close to all her nursing school friends, and had many wonderful reunions. The last one she attended was her 60th reunion in 1999. She was predeceased by her loving husband Bob (1992) her parents, Robert and Margaret Anderson; brothers, Brodie, Robert, Alan; and nephew Bob Storey. She will be lovingly missed by her children, Marnie (Reg) Robinson, Jim (Linda) Killingbeck, Ruth (Chris) Swartz, John (Lily) Killingbeck, Andre (Lisette) Brochu, and Eric (Pat) Vehkalahti. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Bob, Heather, Bruce, Andrew Robinson, John McCopper, William, Sandy, Kathryn Killingbeck, Brodie, Tim and Nicholas Swartz, Daena, David, Adam Killingbeck, Aaron and Cindy Vehkalahti. She will be fondly remembered by her great-grandchildren, Brodie Robinson and Nicole McCopper. Mom is also survived by in-laws, Dorothy Anderson, Marjorie Anderson, Roberta (Alec) Akers, June (Bill) Storey; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mom always tried to keep the memory of her loving brothers alive to all of us and she has gone to join them and our dearly missed father. We will miss her. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Irvine & Irvine Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 17 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service to be held at a later date in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the South Centennial Manor or Kildonan Community Church (Winnipeg). Funeral arrangements in care of the Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, Iroquois Falls. Phone 1-705-232-4006 or 1-888-484-1111.
