ROBERT ROSS (BOB) FORRESTER On Monday, August 14, 2000, at the Emerson Personal Care Home, Bob passed away at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his brother Bruce and wife Grace of Winnipeg; nephew Ross and wife Heidi of Winnipeg; niece Gaiann and husband Chris Vaughan of Beaumont, AB; great-nephews, Liam and Lee and great-niece Asta. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Edna Forrester of Emerson. Bob proudly served with the R.A.F. in the Second World War as the Commanding Officer of A.M.E.S. 132 - a light mobile radar unit that travelled extensively throughout Europe. Bob was a lifelong resident of Emerson, and lived in the same house in which he was born for 83 of his 85 years. As self-appointed family and town historian, Bob was a wealth of interesting information. He will also be fondly remembered for his love of automobiles, collectibles, and music. The Forrester family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people of Emerson who were Bobs friends, especially friend and neighbour Art Klan, as well as the superb and caring staff at the Emerson Hospital and Personal Care Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Andrews United Church in Emerson, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
