Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADA PENNER (nee GARN) Suddenly, but peacefully, on Thursday, August 17, 2000 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, Ada, age 87 years, beloved wife of the late Stan Penner of Winnipeg and formerly of Lac du Bonnet, Man. Besides being predeceased by her husband Stan, Ada was predeceased by an infant son; her parents, Rudolph and Emma Garn; sister Alma Lorentz and by a brother Emil Garn. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her sister Edith Lorentz; brother Art Garn; step-grandchildren, Carlina Doerksen, Stanley Penner and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ada and her late husband Stan enjoyed many years as owner/operators of Camp-Hide-Away in Lac du Bonnet, Man. For the past six years, she has resided in Winnipeg pursuing her passion for gardening, attending church on Sundays and spending time with her family and many friends. Adas kindness and warmth will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to view and pay their respects on Sunday evening, August 20 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue at Sharp Blvd., and prior to Adas Funeral Service which will be held on Monday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m., in The Lutheran Church of the Cross, 560 Arlington Street with Pastor Greg Fowlie-Neufeld officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba. Pallbearers will be Messrs., Dennis, Dan, Don and Mike Lorentz; Greg Pacholek and Jason Pusiewich. Our family would like to express a sincere thanks to Pastor Ken Turnbull of the Seven Oaks General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to The Lutheran Church of the Cross Memorial Fund, 560 Arlington St., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3G 1Z5.
