ROGER ALBERT BOILY (1930 - 2000) Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the St. Boniface General Hospital on August 18, 2000. Roger will be sadly missed by his wife Stella (Bernardin) sons, Donald (Rosa Bertone), Denis, Rene (Dana McCormack) daughters, Carmen (Len Dudek) and Lynne (friend Mike). He also leaves to mourn his passing his brothers Leandre (Yvette), Maurice (Jeannette), Laurent and Aime (Lorraine) and sisters, Cecile (Dr. Andre Lachance), Jeanne dArc (Georges Lavergne), Irene (Joseph Campeau) and Berthe as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Louis and Rosa (Normandeau) and sister Lilianne. Roger was born on October 23 in LaBroquerie and moved to St. Boniface at age nine, where he learned the value of a days work. He started working on cars, which continued to do for forty years until he retired in 1995. He married his beloved Stella in 1962 with whom he raised his children, imparting upon them his values of faith, family and friendship. Many people will remember Roger for his efficient bodywork on their cars when he worked at Century Motors, Transcona Dodge and Midtown Ford. At home he took great pride in his yard and garden, but his greatest talent came through in his drawings and original woodcarvings; these will always be a reminder to always strive for the best of your ability. Heartfelt thanks to all the devoted staff at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital. You all treated Roger with so much love and compassion. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Eugene Church, 1107 St. Marys Rd., at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 21, with viewing commercing at 7:00 p.m. Fathe Leonce Aubin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit or other charity. To the best teacher we ever had: Thank you for all that you gave us and taught us. You were truly a great Dad. Youll always be loved, remembered and greatly missed by all. - Love Carman, Donald, Denis, Lynne & Rene Merci, Roger, pour les annees partagees ensemble.
