MARGARET LUCK Margaret Luck has gone to be with our Heavenly Father, having passed away in Winnipeg, Friday, August 18, 2000. She was born in Duluth, Minnesota in 1916, and lived and worked in Chicago for four years until she married Jack Luck in 1947 and moved to Fort William. She later moved to Winnipeg in 1975. A contralto soloist and accomplished pianist and organist, highlights of her career are the radio program "Hymn Time with the Nelson Sisters" she did with her sister Muriel in Duluth and the Sunday morning radio and TV programs in Thunder Bay. She loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, her music, watching baseball and sharing smiles and laughs with friends over a cup of coffee. Margaret was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Ethel Nelson, her sister and brother-in-law Muriel and Clifford Lindor, by Jack and her infant son Roger. Surviving are her daughters Wendy and Bobbi; son Murray; his wife Valerie; grandchildren, Raymond and Julia; and niece Judy Arnold and her family in Duluth. Also surviving are many Canadian family members, especially her Winnipeg family Marion Luck, Bonnie Luck and Leah Fright and their families. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation, 200-55 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB. R3C 1L8 or to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6 would be appreciated.
