Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA PIOTRKOWICZ Peacefully, on Thursday, August 17, 2000, at the Health Sciences Centre, Anna Piotrkowicz passed away at the age of 86. Anna was born in New Bedford, Mass., on January 16, 1914. She moved to Poland as an infant with her parents. Anna was a survivor of the Oswiecin concentration camp. In 1969 she came to Canada, where she resided the rest of her life. She leaves to cherish her memory her four children, Jozefa Gontarz in Poland, Zofia Moge, Henryk Piotrkowicz, Krystyna Balicki (Stan) seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Viktoria in Poland, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Prayers will be said on Sunday (tonight), August 20, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 21, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff on GA-4 wing for their care and kindness and to her friends for their visits and prayers. If so desired, donations may be made in Annas memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St. Winnipeg R3B 2H8.
