GEORGE BURNS Peacefully, after a brief illness, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of George Burns, on Saturday, August 19, 2000 at the Victoria Hospital, at the age of 82 years. He was the beloved husband of the late Donalda "Del" Burns. George is survived by his sons, Raymond (Claire) and Denis (Denise) grandchildren, Brent (Robbi), Kevin, Sean (Donna) great-grandchildren, Garett, Ashton and Brandin. Dad liked nothing better than family gatherings when we could enjoy old time music. Dad would play the fiddle, Mom on the piano, Ray on the guitar and Denis on the drums. Mom and Dad loved to travel, especially their yearly trips to Vegas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Cross Parish, 252 Dubuc Street, with Rev. Fr. Joseph Tran presiding. Viewing will take place between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery, 917 Archibald St. The family thanks the staff at the Victoria Hospital I.C.U. for their care and support. P. COUTU & CO.
