IRENE MAY HAMM (nee HUNTER) May 10, 1921 - August 18, 2000 Peacefully after a lengthy illness, Irene Hamm passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Irene was predeceased by her beloved husband Jim in 1964. Irene is survived by her children, Donna Berzuk (Ray Dorey), Allen Hamm (Judy), Larry Hamm (Monique) grandchildren, Cindy (Mike), Brent (Cindy) Russell (Sonja), Jaret; Adam and Alex and by her four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Mitchell, Andrew and Kyle. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Paulishyn and sister-in-law Glenda Buhr (Glen) and many nieces and nephews. Irene was very active in Sons of Scotland, Dame Ishbel Aberdeen Camp No. 200 for 40 years. She was recognized by Robert Burns Camp No. 87 in February 1991 and received her 60 year pin on February 5, 1997. She worked for Sears from 1964 until her retirement. Pallbearers will be Brent Berzuk, Russell and Jaret Hamm, Adam and Alex Hamm. Her funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 23 at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Forrester and all the doctors and nurses of St. Boniface Hospital, especially Pam Harmon for their compassionate care and kindness. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Irenes memory to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9.
