WILLIAM WOWK Suddenly on Friday, August 18, 2000 William Wowk passed away at the age of 74 years. He was predeceased by his wife Marjorie; his parents Myron and Dora and his brother Nick. William will be fondly remembered by his brother Paul Wowk and wife Shirley; sisters Effie Silinski and Lucy Prosser; as well as sister-in-law Anne Wowk; plus numerous nieces, nephews, family members, friends and acquaintances. William was born in Hadashville, Man., on Wednesday, September 29, 1926. Throughout the years he held many jobs, but finally found his expertise in U-Pick Strawberries, which he operated as Bills Berry Farm in Hadashville for 30 years. Prayers will be said Wednesday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., Winnipeg. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday, August 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish of the Ascension (two miles North of Hadashville on Hwy. 11). Rev. Deacon Walter Knysh celebrant. Burial to follow in the Parish Cemetery. Reception will follow the burial at the Reynolds Recreational Centre, Hadashville. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582 - 0973
