Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MAY GRANT Kathleen May Grant, 91 years, passed away on August 18, 2000. Born in Cork, Ireland on May 9, 1909, she immigrated to Oakville, MB at age six years. Later, she completed her business course in Winnipeg and was employed by the Manitoba Wheat Board. She married Joseph Grant in 1941. Over the years, she was active in the CWL, Stafford Seniors Club, volunteer work, bowling and ceramics. She is survived by her sister Molly Stanley of Ottawa; two sons, Frank of Winnipeg, Don (Martha) and their children, Mary, Laura, Lee and Stina of Calgary; a daughter Patricia (Robert) and their daughter Tina (Ron) and their children, Brandon and Jenna of Regina. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews in Ottawa, British Columbia and the United States also survive her. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Joseph; her brother-in-law Lou and her grandsons, Kenneth and Derek. A loving mother, devoted wife and good friend, she will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., on Wednesday, August 23 at 3:00 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Fund of Manitoba. Arrangements in care of Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.
