LORNE DORSEY ONEIL On Sunday, August 20, 2000 following a brief illness, Lorne Dorsey ONeil passed away at the age of 85. At his side were his two children, Carole Clement of Calgary and Bill of Edinburg, Texas. He is also survived by Caroles husband Steve and their children, Jeff and Christy and by Bills wife Gail and their daughters, Kathryn, Michelle, and Angela. He was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Emily, his parents, Lorne Ross and Margaret Elizabeth ONeil and by his brother Percy (Tip). Lorne was a lifelong Winnipegger. He spent most of his working life as a driver salesman with Perths. He served his country in the army during the Second World War. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ismael Mohammed and the nursing staff of the third floor at Concordia Hospital for their exemplary and compassionate care of Dad during his last days. In accordance with Lornes wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 24 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (Across from the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment will follow in the Garden of Devotion at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
