MELVIN ROULETTE It is with much sorrow and great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of our son, brother, and father, Melvin Roulette. At his residence in his sleep, Melvin was taken from us. Left to cherish his memory are his special friend and companion Gail; two sons, Justin Roulette and Kelvin Roulette; his mother Elizabeth Roulette-Anderson; three sisters and five brothers, Julie, Ben, Florence (Elgin), Marie (Stan), Eloi (Pam), Ken (Lottis), James, Wayne (Sharon), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Melvin was predeceased by his father Alfred Roulette (1974) sister Rose Roulette (1993) stepfather Edwin Anderson (1998), and sister Cecilia Roulette (1999). Melvin was born on May 2, 1947 in St. Laurent, MB. In his youth he loved to play hockey. Melvin made his living as a roofer and a fisherman. He loved the boats and it showed when he fished off the B.C. Coast. He took pride in the many lasting friendships and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, August 23 at 8:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. at Parr Street. Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25 at 10:00 a.m. also at the chapel with Fr. Dominique Kerbrat officiating. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. When family ties are broken And a loved one has to part It leaves a wound that never heals And many broken hearts But looking back at memories Upon the path you leave We bless the years we spent with you And leave the rest to God. Our dear Melvin Honorary pallbearers will be brothers, Ben, Eloi, Ken, James, Wayne and Garry Flamand. ABORIGINAL FUNERAL CHAPEL 724 SELKIRK AVE.586-7700
