SUSANNA "SUSAN" LOEWEN 1914 - 2000 On Friday, August 18, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital, Susanna Loewen, age 86 of Morden, slipped away peacefully to her eternal rest after a brief illness. She is survived by her sister Anne Friesen of Altona, Man.; her sister-in-law Anna Loewen (Peter) of Grunthal, Man. and numerous nephews and nieces with whom she frequently kept in touch. She was predeceased by her parents, Franz and Marie Loewen; five brothers and five sisters. She was born on May 31, 1914 in the village of Schoenthal. On May 24, 1934 Susan was baptized and joined the Sommerfeld Church, which she faithfully attended throughout her life. She lived south of Winkler in her early years and later moved to Morden where she lived until her passing. She worked hard all her life and enjoyed cooking, travelling, reading and visiting. She was a friendly, active person with a smile and kind word for everyone. Her love and concern for family and friends will be cherished in our hearts forever. The family would like to thank all the friends and relatives who visited Aunt Susan during her illness. Our most heartfelt thanks to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the excellent care Aunt Susan received. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 22 at the Morden Sommerfeld Church, 5 Parkwood St., Morden. If friends so desire, donations may be made to Gospel Message Ministries.
