BELLA SUMNER March 7, 1944 - August 19, 2000 Peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2000, Bella Sumner, formerly of Fairford, Manitoba, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 56 years. Bella is survived by her two daughters and one son, Lillian Steiner of B.C., Rhonda Feely of Winnipeg and Charles Sawada of Lancing, Michigan, USA; her sisters, Rosaleen (John) Sanderson, Jean Williams and Cheryl Sumner of Edmonton; her brothers, Samuel (Doreen) of Little Sask., Leonard of Winnipeg and Ernest (Bernedette) of Calgary; her mother Mary Jane Sumner of Little Sask.; as well as numerous friends and relatives. Bella was born and raised in Fairford. She later moved to Winnipeg. Bella was predeceased by her father, Robert Sumner in 1978; her brothers, Lawrence in 1998, George in 1995 and Clifford in infancy; her grandmother Martha Bruce in 1994; her son Clifford in infancy. The family would like to thank the staff of the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg for taking care of Bella during her illness. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 8:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 24 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Lorraine Shorting, Gerald Anderson and Jim Anderson officiating.
