JAMES VINCENT SAN FILIPPO 1935 - 2000 Sadly we announce the passing of our dear brother and uncle Jim, but we take comfort that he was called into the arms of our Lord on August 3, 2000 at 11:50 p.m., with his family at his side. Jim was employed at The Bay as a Sales Associate for 38 years. He recently retired in October, 1999. Thanks to his friends and colleagues who visited the hospital. He was happy to see them. Everyone who knew Jim recognized his passion for music, good food and most importantly, his desire to be with family. Jim will be missed by his sisters, Jean (Bob), and Josie of Winnipeg, Regina of Ottawa; sister-in-law Dorothy; brothers, Sub (Cicely) of Calgary, Jadie (Pat), Frankie and Tony of Winnipeg, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Rosario and Vingenza; his sisters, Irene, Carmen, and Seena; brothers, Sammy, Charlie; brothers-in-law, Fred, Jack, Tony, and Colin, and sisters-in-law, Shirley and Ada. He will be sadly missed by his close friend Ken Kolbert, who visited the hospital daily. Ken we thank you for the tender love and care you showed our brother and uncle. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on Four West Palliative Care - Grace Hospital, especially nurse Jo, for their kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jims name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 100 Olivia St., or a charity of personal choice. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 25 at St. Marys Cathedral at 2:00 p.m. Reception will follow at John Black United Church, Henderson and Roberta.
