LESLIE ANGELA ROBERTS It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Leslie Angela Roberts, on August 21, 2000. Leslie was predeceased by her husband Charlie Roberts. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Harold; daughters, Louise of Oliver, BC and Betty of Winnipeg; sisters, Rose and Hebe of British Columbia, Jean of Washington, and brother Dave of California; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Leslie will be remembered as a dynamic and outgoing person who touched the lives of many people. She was born in England in 1905 and came to Canada with her family in 1912. She worked at Eatons for many years and also volunteered at a personal care home. Her passions were crafts, gardening and flowers. Leslie enjoyed spending time with her family. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the caring and dedicated staff at the Lions Manor Personal Care Home and also to the Grace Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Russell Wardell officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, donations in Leslies memory may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg R3B 2H8.
