WAYNE ARTHUR GIRARD On August 22, 2000 after a brief illness, at Richmond General Hospital, with his loving wife at his side. Wayne was born on March 29, 1945. He grew up in Norwood, attending Precious Blood and Holy Cross Schools. In 1968 he married Phyllis (Yankoski) and together they moved to Vancouver, where Wayne worked for and became Sales Manager of Shanahans Ltd. He loved his job, his golf and his trips to Palm Springs. He was predeceased by his father Vic in 1989. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Phyllis; his mother Edna Jackson; and his sisters, Leigh Sherby (Rick) and Karen Watson (Roger), and their families; his in-laws, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26 at St. Pauls Anglican Church, 830 North Dr., Winnipeg. A funeral service will be held later in Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St.
