At age 80, she was still able to skate with her grandchildren in her old goalie skates. She also enjoyed bowling at Patricks Bowling Alley, curling and golf. She loved music and sang in St. Pauls choir as well as being in skits and in later years entertained at Victoria Park Lodge and Personal Care Home prior to living there. Even in failing health she was able to sing the old hymns by heart. She was a life member of the Crescent Rebeccah Lodge, an active member of her church, serving on many committees as well as U.C.W.
