JOHN LLOYD BAILEY Suddenly, at home on August 22, 2000, John passed away due to a lengthy illness. John will be forever remembered by his loving wife Verlie; four children, John Jr., Gloria (James Smith), Kathy Bailey and Terry Bailey; also ten grandchildren; one great-grandson; and niece June Clements. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brother Raymond (Evelyn) and cousins, Nadine (George) Robinson and Dorothy Sharp. He was predeceased by his mother Pearl, father James, sister June Clements and brother Ted. John had been retired from Native Clan Org. where he had worked for 15 years as a House Manager in Regina House. Previous to that he worked for Main Street Project for numerous years and also the City of Winnipeg. John was grateful and appreciative for the help and kindness he received from the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital, especially for his nurse Irene from Home Care. A special thanks to his good friend and neighbour Don Woods who takes his dog Jessie for walks every night. According to Johns wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Rev. Wendy Rankin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johns memory to the Canadian Liver Foundation, Manitoba Chapter, P.O Box 1943, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2.
