MINNIE RITCHIE April 5, 1900 to August 11, 2000 Minnie was born 100 years ago in Moss Side, Staveley, England. In 1913, she and her parents immigrated to Winnipeg where she remained for the rest of her life. In April of this year, the family was very proud to be able to experience the opportunity and joy of attending the 100th birthday party for this kind and gracious lady. It was always obvious from the way she lived her life, day to day, that she had the love of God in her heart. She was most proud of her greatest accomplishment in life: her family. She was predeceased by husband Alex in 1975 and is survived by daughter Audrey (John) LaRue; son Ken (Cecile) Ritchie, and Bob (Helen) Parker; eight grandchildren, Leonard (Helen), Cydnie (Robin), David (Joan), Tom (Denise), Warren (Sandra), Darren, Wendy, Ken, (Kari) 11 great-grandchildren, Alex, Ian, Helen, Catherine, Nicole, Joelle, Peter, Elizabeth, Sarah, William, and Matthew. The family gives a thank you to all the front line staff at Oakview Personal Care Home, as typified by Inez, Eleanor, and Betty, who do their best to keep the care truly personal, and to special friend Wilma. In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Minnie may be made to a charity of your choice. (She did have a soft spot for orphans though). Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will be at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 28 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Donald and Graham, Winnipeg. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
