Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE MALCHUK (nee TOPOLNISKY) Peacefully, on Thursday, August 24, 2000, Rose Malchuk passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. Rose will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill; sons, Mel and Wayne; and grandchildren, Maury (Audrey) of Winnipeg, Kelly, Lyndsay and Vanessa of Vancouver. Rose is also survived by her sister Jessie Stebeleski of Winnipeg; and her brother Mike Topolnisky of Kelowna, BC. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Dan and Mary Topolnisky; brothers, Stan and Peter; and her sisters, Helen, Anne, Tinny and Stella. Rose was born in Olha, MB in 1931, married in 1950 and both her and Bill worked and owned a small farm until 1958. They decided to leave farming and move to the big city of Winnipeg, where they resided in the North End of Winnipeg. She will be remembered for her quick wit, her sense of humour and her great cooking. She will be dearly missed by her many friends made through her frequent visits to the local bingo halls. Prayers will be held on Sunday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28 at 10:00 a.m., also at the Chapel, with Rev. Fr. E. Hafichuk presiding. Cremation to follow. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all the family and friends who came to see Rose at the hospital and for all their support, kindness and prayers during this most difficult time. Thank you to all the staff and Dr. Tsang, who cared for Rose at the Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Roses memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
