GEORGE MORAVEC Suddenly, on August 23, 2000, George, at age 68, passed into the glory of the Lord. While on an extended holiday at their beloved summer place in Pender Harbor, BC, George developed respiratory complications. Left to mourn his dearly beloved wife Olga, married 41 years. Also left to mourn his brother Jerry (Evy) of Swan River, MB; sister Lillian Van Sabben of Winnipeg; nephew Doug (Noemi) and two children of Calgary; niece Linda Kelly (Randy) and two children of Winnipeg; niece Denise Sutherland of Winnipeg. Also all the Brucki, Bronsdon, Urbanowski, Lemoine, Pahkala families all of Winnipeg, and many relatives and friends. George worked as an electrician early on at Winnipeg Hydro and after moving to Vancouver at the University of British Columbia for 25 years, early retiring in 1994. Heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, doctors, and staff at both Sechelt Hospital and later at Vancouver General Hospital, where George was air-lifted to. Their desperate efforts to save his life and their love and care are greatly appreciated. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of their choice. Funeral services to be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg on Tuesday, August 29, at 10:00 a.m. Interment and reception will follow. "Our souls are entwined forever."
