Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH GEORGE LESTER Suddenly at his new residence in Palm Harbor, Florida, on July 21, 2000, Ken passed away at the age of 57. He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Deidre and Carleigh Lester; his grandson, Andrew, all of Anchorage, Alaska. He will also be missed by his sisters Lorraine Searcy and Janet (Rob) Herbachuk of Winnipeg; several nieces and nephews. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Sylvia Lester; and a brother Barry. Ken was born and raised in Winnipeg. He went on to become a chartered accountant and did very well in his field, graduating with top honours. He worked for several well known firms, spending a year in Belgium, and travelling in Europe for several months, finally settling in Alaska where he raised his family and spent most of his life. During his last year, Ken was an inspiration to all who knew him, especially Uncle Jim. His sense of humour will never be forgotten and he will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28, 2000 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
