KATHERINE BARKMAN Peacefully, on August 24, 2000 at Bethania Personal Care Home, Katherine Barkman passed away at the age of 76 years. She will be sadly missed by her son Ronald James; daughters, Lorraine (David) Jacobson and Theresa (Bill) Perdonic; and grandchildren, Laura, David Jr. and Joshua Jacobson, and Scott, Shawn, Michael and Michelle Perdonic. She will also be missed by her two sisters, Margaret (Peter) of Abbotsford, B.C., Martha (Pete) of Steinbach, and by brothers, John (Lisa), Aaron (Sarah), and Emil (Tina), all of Steinbach. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Jacob in 1994; sisters, Helen and Susie, and brothers, Abe and Ben. Special thanks for the tender loving care given at Bethania Personal Care Home South Wing. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m.at Braeside Evangelical Mennonite Church, 1011 Munroe Avenue, with Pastor Ron Penner officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held on Monday, August 28 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy., and at the church prior to the service. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Though your beautiful smile is now for God, And your hand we cannot touch, We will never lose the memory of you Mom, As we loved you oh so much.
