He passed away peacefully on August 26, 2000, at Stonewall Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his companion Sandy Bauldic; sons, Randy, Dale (Maureen), Robin (Paulette) daughters, Heather (Monty) Brown, Laurie (Steve) Mymko and their mother Sheila; stepchildren, Lisa (Mark) Peltz and Kevin Bauldic as well as 14 grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Effie), Brandon, Bill (Pat), Stony Mountain, Don (Arlene), Calgary; sisters, Lorraine (Arnold) Limpright, Kamloops, Shirle (Vladi) Vagels, Victoria, Linda (Jim) Doubleday, Stonewall, Pat (Bob) Peats, Williams Lake, Carol (John) Peterson, Campbell River. Al is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Al was predeceased by his parents Harry and Edna; sister Dorothy; brothers, Gordon, Lorne and Wayne. Al retired in October 1996 from All-Fab (formerly PB Trusses). The passion in his life was horses and curling. He was a lifetime member of Stony Mountain Curling Club. Family gatherings and reunions were a highlight in Als life. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 30, at 7:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home in Stonewall, Man. Viewing will take place from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Service will conclude at the chapel. Interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Childrens Wish Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Chapter, the Stonewall Hospital or a charity of ones choice.
