JOSEPH ALLEN BARLOW Joseph Allen Barlow, aged 75 years, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2000, on his farm near Myrtle, Man., where he had resided all of his life. He was known as Mr. Fix-It at the Roland Elementary School because of all the repairs he did for the teachers and staff. He had a great love for children and repaired many toys and games for them over the years. Joe will be sadly missed by five sisters, Ruby Palo and Bess Ovens, both of Surrey, B.C., Joyce Conger of Burnaby, B.C., Erna (Knut) Josten of Vancouver, B.C., Jackie (Norm) Usselman of Pitt Meadows, B.C.; two sisters-in-law, Reta Barlow of Carman, Man., and Veronica Barlow of Shoal Lake, Man., and by many nieces, nephews and cousins of all the extended families. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary Barlow; by three brothers, Edwin, Raymond and Vincent; and by two sisters, Ethel and Mavis. Funeral service will be held from Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman, Man., on Thursday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bob Stark officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Myrtle Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Man., R3C 0S6, or to the Alzheimer Society, Box 119, Winkler, Man., R6W 4A4.
