Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATE (KAY) SLATCHER (nee MacMARTIN) On Sunday, August 27, 2000, at the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital, Stonewall, Kay Slatcher, aged 82 years, beloved wife of Frank Slatcher of Stonewall. Kay was born at Crandall, Man., May 28, 1918, lived in the west until November 1929 when she moved to Stonewall. She married Frank Slatcher February 23, 1942. They farmed west of Stonewall until 1947 when they moved to town. She belonged to the Agricultural Ladies Board for over 25 years, had been a Rebekah for over 50 years, was past Noble Grand of Acadia #4 and was a past district president. Surviving to mourn her loss besides her husband Frank, one son Robert William (Pat) of Teulon; one daughter Carol (Peters) of Stonewall; four grandchildren, Christopher, Brandy-Lynn, Kim (Darryl) and Crystal (Ken) two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Harleigh; predeceased by her brother Cyril and sister Margaret. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 29, at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, Rev. J. Miles will officiate. Service will conclude at the chapel with cremation to follow. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
