KATHLEEN (KAE) AMELIA SMITH
Date of Passing: Aug 25, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN (KAE) AMELIA SMITH (nee BARNETT) It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Kaes sudden passing on Friday, August 25, 2000 at the age of 72 years will leave a void in our lives. Kae was born and raised in Winnipeg as one of 11 children. She was predeceased by her parents; brother Tom; and sister Helen. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 53 years, Bob; and children Jim (Kathie), Brenda (Klaus) Burlakow, Blake (Aline), Cathy (Gordon) Todd, Terence (Heather) and Trevor (Cheryl). She was a loving grandmother to Kara, Stefan, Drew, Taryn, Kevin, Nicole, Eric and Cole, and had many nieces, nephews and friends. Kae was a custodian at Elmwood High School until her retirement seven years ago. Kaes hard work and sunny disposition made her an admired friend to staff and students alike. Mom enjoyed her family and friends, often while camping at Birds Hill Park. Her zest for life also included numerous activities like knitting, crossword puzzles, cards and "Caesar Fridays". Pleas join us in a "celebration of life" on Thursday, August 31 between 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Moms memory. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
