Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYNDON GRANT JONES With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Lyndon Grant Jones at Deer Lodge Hospital on Sunday, August 27, 2000. He was born in Bristol, England, March 19, 1922 and came to Canada at the age of one year. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War and worked at the Canadian Pacific Railway 35 years until his retirement in 1979. Those of us who knew him well will remember him for his great love of nature, feeding the birds and the squirrels and planting trees. He loved music and singing. Lyndon is survived by his wife Myrtle; his five children, Lyndon Grant (Amy), Kenneth Randall (Mary), Alona Lorraine Smith (Fred), Owen Rhys (Mary Jean), and Russell Morgan; 12 grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer, Angela, Tammy, Grace, Carson, Shawna, Ryan, Tiana, Kyle, Timothy and Brendon; and five great-grandchildren, Bailey, Sarah, Trey, Sidney and Noah; and sister Edyth Dickin of Vancouver, BC; as well as other family members. Lyndon was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Gertrude; brother Walter; and nephew Walter. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish, a memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or to a charity of your choice.
