RICHARD (DICK) A. LANGTRY It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and brother on Sunday, August 27, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents, Cecil A. and Cecil J. Langtry; his son Doug; his sister Lillo, and dear friend Audrey Gieg. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jane Langtry (Warren), Peggy (Cal) Jenkyns, Barney, Shannon Gieg; grandchildren, Ingrid Tench, Amanda and Myles Jenkyns; his brother King (Betty) of London, ON; his sisters, Jaunty Lowe of Stonewall and Pat (Bud) Langtry of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dick was born in Stonewall on January 16, 1927. He lived his whole life in Stonewall except for the time he served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the Second World War. He married June Larson in 1948. Dick worked for the Trans-Canada airlines until he joined his Dad in Royal Motors where he stayed until his retirement in 1992. He belonged to the Stonewall Kinsmen Club and the Stonewall Legion Branch #52. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, August 30 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, MB. Interment to follow at Stonewall Cemetery. All Dicks friends will be considered honorary pallbearers. Thank you to Dr. Paul Kerr, Dr. Daeninck, Janine Ennis and all the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital and Palliative Care Ward.
