Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY NEPINAK Peacefully with his family by his side, Stanley Dorphy (Smoky) Nepinak passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital on Saturday, August 26, 2000. Stanley leaves to mourn his wife of 32 years, Victoria (nee Laquette) his sons, Merle, Jacob, Eric (Shirley), Conrad; his daughter Audrey and husband (Damon Hunter), as well as five grandchildren, Dakota, Rolanda, Shania Nepinak, James and Jesse Laquette; his only sister Mosy (Wayne) Mann. His aunts, Florence Catcheway and Lizzie (Dolphus) Catcheway; his uncle Willie (Marjorie) Nepinak and numerous nieces and nephews. His brothers-in-law Darcy (Dora) Laquette, Lawrence and companion Minnie, Ernest Laquette; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Tommy) Manitopyes, Merina (Arnold) Badger, Genevieve Dycke of Winnipeg, Marlene Laquette of Calgary and Melva Nepinak of Skownar. Predeceased by his parents, mother Hilda (nee Campbell) on November 22, 1988 and his father Gilbert on March 6, 1991. His brother Delbert Nepinak on May 2, 2000; uncles, Louie Nepinak, Glen Campbell and Norbert Catcheway. His mother-in-law Laura (nee Letandre) on December 2, 1982; father-in-law John Laquette April 4, 1993, as well as his brother-in-law Roy Laquette August 21, 1991. Stanley was born on September 3, 1946 in Winnipegosis, Man. and resided in Skownan all his life till he had to relocate to Winnipeg in 1998 for dialysis treatments. Stanley left school at an early age to help his dad on the ranch.He eventually became a rancher himself. He worked at Skownan Store for a few years. He was a community health representative for Skownan for eight years. He took part in various training opportunities in Rivers, Man. and The Pas. The last 15 years he was a commercial fisherman which he loved very much. He loved to trap, camp, and hunt with his sons. He also loved the outdoors. His favourite pastime was listening to gospel music and have his family read the Bible to him. Stanley had the opportunity to visit Rome, Italy and Jerusalem in 1981. His other favourite things to do were play ball, watch movies and especially talking to family and friends on the telephone. To make long distance calls was nothing to him. He had a great sense of humour and loved making people laugh. Our family is so thankful that he didnt suffer during his last day with us. We would like to thank family and friends for all their support during our great loss. Honorary pallbearers will be Victor Campbell, John Tarty, Willie Nepinak, Freddie Whitford, Natalie Whitford and his grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be Glen Sutherland, Shannon Nepinak, Ernest, Lawrence, Darcy and Larry Laquette. Wake Services will be held on Tuesday, August 29 beginning at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 30 at Bread of Life Ministry, 1338 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Bread of Life Ministry, with Pastor R.
