Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMERVIN CATAGAS In loving memory of Mervin Raymond Catagas born on February 4, 1938, at Valley River Indian Reserve. On August 26, 2000 Mervin Catagas passed away peacefully at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. He leaves to mourn his 10 children: Cindy (Rolling River), Joanne and Pamela (Yorkton, Saskatchewan), Kimberly (Edmonton, Alberta), Gina (The Pas, Manitoba), Mervin Jr. (Ontario), Terry (Omaha, Nebraska, USA), Jason Nepinak (Yorkton, Saskatchewan), Raymond (Deceased in 1972), and Faron (Ottawa). He was predeceased by his parents Charles Catagas (1981) and Virginia (1982), both of the Valley River Indian Reserve. Surviving family members are three brothers, Ralph (Jean), Micheal (Rose) and Graham (Lisa) four sisters, Maria (Henry), Yvonne (Joe), Victoria (Abe) and Arlene (Alvin) step-father William Head; three aunts and one uncle, Madeline and Clara Razor, Jane and Joe. There are numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, August 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue at Parr, with wake to follow. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. also at the Chapel. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Graham Catagas, Micheal Head, Alvin Spence, Wilfred Catagas, Jason Nepinak and Mervins son-in-law. Well remember you forever Mervin, and youll always remain with us in our hearts, here on Earth. We hope again to be with you in the new world we believe that exists in the future.
