Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD LOHR Edward Lohr, age 90 years, beloved husband of Greta, of Morris, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2000 at the Morris General Hospital. Besides his dear wife he leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Betty (Tim) of Edmonton; son Bill of Winnipeg; and his stepchildren, Suzanne, Kathryn, Trish, Paul, and Michael; son-in-law Hunter Wallace of Burnaby, BC; and one brother Herb Lohr of Larder Lake, ON. He was predeceased by his daughter Jo-Ann (Joey) Wallace in 1997; brothers, Bill and Dan; sisters, Betty Lee, Clara Soden, and Olive Davis; half-brothers, Charlie and Gus; and half-sisters, Emma, Minnie, and Julia. Ed was born on the farm near Morris on March 20, 1910 and farmed until 1990. He loved the outdoors, and was involved in the start-up of the Manitoba Stampede, the Riverview Golf & Country Club, and the rebuilding of the Curling Club. Ed and Greta travelled to many countries and had a special fondness for Yuma, AZ, where they developed many long lasting friendships. Eds stories and many experiences of past years, and his great sense of humour will be missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Fraser and the staff of the Morris General Hospital for their excellent care and support for the family. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris, with interment in the Morris Cemetery. Viewing at the church prior to the service.
