ALEXANDER SUMMERS November 20, 1921 to August 26, 2000 Suddenly on Saturday, August 26, 2000, with his family by his side, Alex Summers passed away peacefully at the Concordia Hospital. Left to mourn his loss are his wife of 54 years, Dora Summers; daughter Rosemary (Claude) and grandchildren, Chantal and Joel du Bourg. Also left to mourn are his sisters-in-law, Ruby McCullough, Marion Elsey, Beatrice Kemp, and several nieces and nephews. Alex will be sadly missed by his little buddy PePe. Alex came to Canada from Falkirk, Scotland in 1948, after serving six years in the Second World War with the RAF. Once in Canada, Alex spent several years in the RCAF, then went on to work at Bristol Aerospace for over 25 years, until retirement. The family would like to thank Dr. Welch and the nursing staff that took care of Alex during his stay at the Concordia Hospital. Special thanks should also go out to Don and Mary McKenzie for their support. Cremation has taken place and at Dads request, there will be a private family service.
