Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAPHNE FAYE FONTAINE Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre, Daphne Faye Fontaine passed away at the age of 36 years. Daphne was born on January 2, 1964 at Pine Falls spending her earlier years at Fort Alexander, later moving to Winnipeg where she spent most of her life. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory, fiancee Alan Hallson; son Jason; daughter Tanya; five sisters, Marie Palamer (Lawrence), Mabel Courchene (Richard), Rita Fontaine, Lorna Fontaine (Bert) and Patricia Lavallee (Doug) three brothers Alphonse Fontaine, Marcel Fontaine (Christine) and Carl Fontaine (Lee) and half brother Charles Cook. There are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by grandparents, parents Albert Dan and Eva Fontaine, sister Viola, half brother Philip Guimond and nephew Joey Fontaine. Prayers and wake services will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. at The Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Avenue, Winnipeg and on Friday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Fort Alexander. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m. also at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church at Fort Alexander. Interment to follow at the Parish Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre for the care given to Daphne.
