Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT CARL HEIN December 23, 1919 - August 28, 2000 Peacefully on Monday, August 28, 2000 at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon Care Centre, Albert Carl Hein passed away at the age of 80 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy of 55 years; daughters, Yvonne Hein, Judy (Larry) Kessler; sons, Glenn, Edward (Valerie), Brian (Wendy) of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Christopher, Steven, Diana, Reed, Eric, Vicki, Vanessa, Kaylyn; and his sister Freda Claeys of San Antonio, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Adolf and Bertha Hein; sister Lillian Nicol; brother George Hein. Albert worked for C.N.R. as a machinist for 43 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed the horse races with his brother George and farming with his brother-in-law Sandy Poersch in Brunkild, MB. Albert married his wife Dorothy in 1945. Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, September 1 at 1:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at Poseidon Care Centre, 2nd floor and to Dr. Ian Maharaj for their care and compassion given to Albert and the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alberts memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8; or to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
