Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY THEDDE MEILLEUR With saddened hearts we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on Wednesday, August 30, 2000, at the Portage District General Hospital. Henry Thedde Meilleur, of St. Ambroise, Man., beloved husband of Edna, at the age of 76 years. Henry was born in 1924, son of Louis and Angelina Meilleur, at home with a Red Cross nurse present, in Fisher Branch where he was raised and received his education. In 1942 he enlisted in the Army where he took his basic training in North Bay, Ont. During the war he was stationed at Shilo as a driver. Upon his discharge from the Army he became employed in a meat plant and later in construction. During his retirement he loved gardening, traveling, fishing, feeding his ducks and other wild birds. Predeceased by his brothers, Ralph, Nelson, Phillip, Ray, Marcel Mayer; sister Jane Grawberger. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Edna; two sons, Henry (Joanne) and Paul (Jackie), all of St. Ambroise; three daughters, Mary (Andy) Gobeil of Shilo, Anita (Leonard) Oliver of Lake Francis, Elizabeth (Edmond) Schon of St. Laurent; grandchildren, Caroline, Suzanne (Shane), Terry (Kevin), Leslie (Richard), Christopher (Corralee), Michelle (Curtis), Jean-Guy, Paige; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brendan, Carson, Jennifer, Jamey, Jessica. Also surviving are brothers, Art, Leo, Gilbert Mayer; sisters, Lillian Dussiume, Florence Lambert, Irene Lambert, Melina Lamaire, Marie Blanchette; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Prayers will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, 83 Royal Rd. South, Portage la Prairie, on Friday, September 1, at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Father Wayne Morrissey officiating. Funeral service will be held at the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church, St. Ambroise, on Saturday, September 2, at 2:00 p.m. with Monsignor Maurice Comeault officiating. Interment will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery. The Omega Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."
