PAULINE ELEANOR BROWN It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Mrs. Pauline Brown of Red River Place, formerly of Lockport, MB, who passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 30, 2000 at the age of 81 at the Selkirk General Hospital. Mom was born in Homer, MB on November 17, 1918 and resided in Manitoba all her life. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: sons, Ron (Cindy) Brown, Alan (Sandy) Brown; and her sister and best friend Mary (Phil) Klassen; her grandchildren, Christine (Manuel) Carvelho, Don Quiring, Debbie (Chris) Quiring, Cindy Quiring, Alan (Betty) Brown and Jason Brown; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; also numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1976; her daughter Beverly in 1994; her brothers, Joe, Peter and Steve; and her mother and father, Alex and Olena Ponimets. Mom will be remembered for her kindness and generosity and for her love for her family. At Moms request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Ash Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Paulines memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. The many things you did for us, In your kind and loving way, You gave us years of happiness No one can take away. What we would give, if we could say, Well go and see Mom today, To see her face, to see her smile Or just to talk with her awhile. She was a Mom with a heart of gold, And meant more to us, than wealth untold. Her life was unselfish, For others she lived, Not for what she received But for what she could give. Without farewell she fell asleep, With only memories for us to keep. If she could have spoken before she died, These are the words she would have replied, This life for me is truly past, I loved you all to the very last, Weep not for me, but courage take And love one another for my sake. Whoever said sorrow would heal with time Could never have had a mother like ours. "Rest in Peace, Mom." Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 586-8044.
