GORDON JAMES WEIR September 19, 1923- September 2, 2000 Suddenly on Saturday, September 2, 2000, at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Gordon, age 77 years, of Winnipeg, Man. He is survived by his wife Margaret of 45 years of marriage and daughter Diane; his sister Eunice Mowbray Ireland and husband Cliff; niece Lynn Blatta and husband John and nephew Doug Mowbray and wife Diane; as well as numerous grand-nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Kathleen Weir and by a brother Robert. Gordon was born in Winnipeg, Man. He attended Robert H. Smith School and Kelvin High School and then the University of Manitoba. He joined the Airforce in 1943 and trained as a Navigator Bombardier. Gordon started his business career in Great West Life and then as a manufacturers agent for clothing and latterly was a salesman for recreational vehicles. All his life, he enjoyed the Lake of the Woods and doing odd jobs around our home. On Wednesday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m., Gordons funeral service will be held in the Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave., at Belvidere Street.
