Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH GERICH On Saturday, September 2, 2000, at Grace Hospital, Joseph Gerich, beloved husband of Mary for 47 years passed away at the age of 70 years. Besides his beloved wife Mary he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Tilly and husband Alvin Morgan, Pauline and husband Michael Tutkaluke; son, Stefan Gerich; grandchildren, Gordon, Cory, Stephanie, Leanne, Matthew and Taylor; great-grandson Ashton; mother Rozalija; siblings, Angela, Trezika, Rozalija, Matija, Nace, Slavko, Ciril, and Marjan; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father Matija and brother Tony. Joseph was born in Slovenia on May 12, 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1953. He was a founding member of Our Lady of Lourdes Slovenian Church in Winnipeg. Joseph worked at several companies in Winnipeg and in 1973 he moved to St. Laurent where he purchased farmland. There he raised prize winning Limousine cattle, along with other livestock. Joseph retired from farming 2 years ago. Special thanks to the Grace Hospital 4th floor nurses and oncology staff for making his last days as comfortable as possible. Also many thanks to all our family and friends for their support, love and prayers. Prayers will be said on Tuesday(Tonight), September 5, at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Slovenian Church, 95 MacDonald Ave. with Rev. Fr. Paul Hancko officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Tutkaluke, George Grdic, Gordon Morgan, Cory Morgan, Tony Tisaj and Ivan Grdic. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in Josephs memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St. Wpg R3C 9Z9. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044
