SALLY (ATNIKOV) SHUCKETT On Sunday, September 3, 2000, Sally Shuckett passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Sharon Home, Winnipeg, at the age of 91 years. Born in Russia on March 12, 1909, Sally was the second child of Harry and Clara Atnikov. She will lovingly be remembered by Nathan, her devoted husband of 65 years; her son Donald; daughter-in-law Susan and granddaughters, Arie and Alana of San Diego. She will be missed by her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces and nephews. Sally was an active member of the Shaarey Zedek Sisterhood, Hadassah, member of the Shaarey Zedek choir and was honoured as a Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. An excellent athlete, Sally excelled in tennis and curling. The family extends their thanks to the 5th floor staff at the Sharon Home for their care and devotion to Sally. Graveside funeral service will be conducted by Rabbi Allan Green and Rabbi Louis Berkal on Tuesday, September 5 at 12:00 noon at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, Gate 1. Pallbearers will be John Farber, Jordan Farber, Robert Lecker, Brian Lecker, Dick Rothberg and David Waldman. Donations in Sallys memory may be made to the Sharon Home, 146 Magnus Ave., Winnipeg, R2W 2B4 or charity of choice.
