Mom was born in Winnipeg on February 3, 1916 and resided most of her life in St. Vital and Windsor Park. She had worked at Robinson Little and Eatons, where she had made many friends. Mom was a very sociable person with a very easy-going manner and great sense of humour. She could laugh at herself in spite of her recent medical problems. Mom loved her home, family and shopping. She could always find a good bargain. She enjoyed several trips to visit family members and occasional summers at the lake. She was a good hostess and always made you feel welcome in her home. Mom was a very caring person and was always there when you needed her. A funeral service to celebrate this wonderful and caring mothers life will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway on Friday, September 8 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Roses memory may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada, 204 - 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg R3A 1M5 or Cancer Care Manitoba Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg R3E 0V9. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the River East Personal Care Home for their kind and considerate care of our mother during her two and one-half year stay there. Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • I visited Rose once a week for many months while I was in junior high school at The King's School during the late 90s and spent a lot of time talking with her and writing a biography of her life as a part of my English and social studies courses. She was an incredibly kind and insightful soul who left a big impact on my life. - Posted by: Katts (Friend) on: Dec 09, 2022
