MARGARET DICKS On Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, Margaret Dicks, age 84 years of Teulon, MB. Born July 25, 1916 in Teulon, Margaret had lived in Gunton prior to marrying Garnet Dicks in 1937, after which she resided in the Teulon district and raised her family. In 1964 they moved to town and she was predeceased by Garnet in 1991. Margaret was active in the community, had been a Director of the Agricultural Society, had been involved in the New Horizon Club and Teulon Seniors. She and Garnet loved to go fishing and golfing. Surviving to mourn her loss, her children, Maureen and husband Eddie Stutsky of Teulon, Darline and husband Don Meloney of Gladstone, Darryll and wife Janis of Selkirk; seven grandchildren, Cory Dicks, Tammie Dicks Briscoe, Randal Stutsky, Dara-Lea Hanna, Darcy Meloney, Andrea Dicks and Emma Dicks; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (LaVerne) Fraser of Whitecourt, AB, James (Reta) Fraser of Teulon; and one sister Isla (Alex) Jack of Teulon; numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two sons, Calvin in 1956 and Wendell in 1995. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel Teulon. Rev. Ken Anstie will officiate. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Teulon United Church Memorial Fund. MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon in care of arrangements.
