CHERYL ANN ZALUSKI (nee REYKDAL) It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of Cheryl Zaluski, on September 4, 2000. She is survived by her beloved husband Louis Zaluski; her children, Jonathon, Nicole, and Melissa. She is also survived by her parents, John and Isabel Reykdal; her grandmother Julia Reykdal; one brother Richard Reykdal (Val) three sisters, Linda Onofreychuk (Ron), Donna Stutsky (Allan), Sandra Magnusson (Dale). There are numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Cheryl has lived for the past 18 years as a resident of Inwood with her husband and children. She was born on June 13, 1956 and was raised in Winnipeg Beach. Cheryl started her career at the Buffalo Credit Union and was employed for many years with South Interlake Credit Union (Stonewall). Cheryl enjoyed curling, reading, crafts (especially floral arranging), knitting and camping. She was a very active member of Polson Community Hall and looked forward to their special functions. She made the best holupchi! She was a devoted wife and mother. Cheryls family was the most important thing in her life. Her family will be left with many wonderful memories of their dear wife and mother. Cheryl faced her illness with courage and dignity and always maintained a positive attitude. Cheryls family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on GD6 (Health Sciences Centre) for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB. A funeral service to celebrate Cheryls life will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB. Rev. Lynn Stevens will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Manitoba Cancer Treatment & Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9. MacKenzie Funeral Home Teulon in care of the arrangements.
