ADOLF SCHINDEL Peacefully at Concordia Hospital on Monday, September 4, 2000, with his family by his side, Adolf Schindel passed into the arms of his Lord. Dad is survived by his loving wife Minnie of 65 years; his beloved daughter and son-in-law Marlene and Dave Kerr; his beloved grand-children, David (Jennifer) and only great-grandchild Calli, Derrick and friend Mandi and Darren. Surviving also are his siblings, Bill (Margaret), Pauline Merke, Rudolf (Lora) and Fred (Anne) his sister-in-law Marjorie Fuhl. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother Emma in 1918; his father August in 1958; and his stepmother Olga in 1996. Mom and Dad were married November 10, 1935 in St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Friedensfeld, Man. They farmed there for a number of years, and then moving to Green Bay, Man., and finally moving to Winnipeg in 1951. Mom and Dad shared a very long and loving life together. Together with the Lord by their side they raised their only child Marlene. Dad always had a smile for everyone and loved to share a joke. He was always building, fixing and planning. If you needed something done, you had only to take it to Dad and he would go to his garage and find a way to do it. Dad always loved farming, even after Dad and Mom moved to Winnipeg, for many years Dad was found at Uncle Bills farm helping in any way that he could. He cherished his family and found great comfort in his very strong belief in his Lord. His faith carried him through many trials.
