WILLIAM BRIAN WATERS William Brian Waters, born on October 14, 1943, died September 4, 2000 peacefully surrounded by his family at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, Man. Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judith Taverner; daughter Marla Wilson (husband Chris) son Brent Waters; sister Shirley Paquin (husband Hector), Eileen Kloepfer (husband Lorne), nieces, nephews and many friends. Brian was predeceased by his parents, William Percival and Lillian Ruth Waters. Brian touched many lives. He coached little league baseball and hockey at the River Heights Community Centre in Winnipeg where he grew up and spent most of his adult life. Brian worked for the Province of Manitoba, Highways Department for over 30 years. He was a member of the Masons, Three Pillars Lodge No. 169, Scottish Rite and the Khartum Temple Shriners. Brian was never at a loss for words and enjoyed conversations and debates. He was quick witted and humourous. Brian will always be remembered fondly by his close friends as "Lucas". Brian loved nature and spent his final years watching birds, sunsets and sunrises on Lake Winnipeg at Willow Island. Brian was a long-term survivor of a heart transplant and valued his chance to live a full life. His spirit and courage was an inspiration to others and will always be remembered. The family would like to thank Dr. P.G. Mehta, Dr. R.C. Patel, Dr. Anthony Miller, Dr. Asita Mehta and friend Kathleen Arnason for their care and support. Thanks to the staff and nurses at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnson Memorial Hospital Building Fund, Gimli, Man. A Celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9 at the Masonic Memorial Temple, 420 Corydon Ave. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
