ROSE SWANSON Entered into Eternal Rest Wednesday, September 6, 2000 Rose Swanson (nee Bennett), widow of Ben Swanson, passed into eternal rest on September 6, 2000, at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon. Born in Medicine Hat, Alta., on July 19, 1929, she later moved to Inwood, Man., and married Ben Swanson on September 28, 1946, where they farmed and raised their family. She took great pride in her doll and clock collection, but received her most joyful times from her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Left to mourn her loss are children, Douglas (Doreen), Maple (Maurice), Bruce (Valerie), Larry (Brenda) stepchildren, Ivan, Pearl, Hilda, Doris and Bill (deceased) grandchildren, Rex, Twila, Jimmy, William, Ronald, Pamela (Kent), Scott, Clint (Tanya), Kelly, Kirt; great-grandchildren, Bryanna and Matthew. She also leaves her brothers, George and Wilfred and sisters, Florence, Sarah and Annie as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9, at 3:00 p.m. at the Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Inwood, Pastor B. Rasmussen will officiate. Pallbearers will be Roses grandsons. The family would like to thank the staff at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon, Home Care staff, Stonewall and District Senior Resource Program and the pastoral support Mom received during her illness. It is greatly appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation of Manitoba or the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Teulon in care of arrangements.
