Date of Passing: Sep 04, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGORDON WACHKO It is with deepest sympathy we announce the passing of Gordon Wachko on Monday, September 4, 2000. Gordon leaves to mourn his passing his children, Matthew, Jamie, Jessica and Taylor; his mother Dianne and husband Gary Kidd; his sister Jackie and husband Ken Sawatzky; also his two nieces Kasandra and Alyssa. He was predeceased by his grandfather Vincent Rigg in 1984 and by his grandmother Marcia Rigg in March of this year. Gordon was born February 19, 1969 and spent most of his life in Winnipeg. He spent most of his summers at the lake fishing. He also enjoyed his computer and surfing the net. At Gordons request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. We would like to extend our thanks to the staff at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit especially nurse Rachel, Eilleen and Shawn for their special care and compassion for Gordon and family. A special mention to Dr. Garcia for not only his care for Gordon but also for bringing to him inner peace. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, "Come with Me." So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
