COLIN HOWARD SHAW Passed away at the Portage General Hospital on Wednesday, September 6, 2000, Colin Shaw, age 79 years of MacGregor. Born February 11, 1921 at MacGregor, Colin received his education at the South End School and MacGregor High School. He farmed for many years in the MacGregor District, retiring to town in 1976. Predeceased by his parents, Jim and Vera Shaw, he is survived by his wife Elsie; son Roy (Dannette) daughter Sandra (Keith) and one sister Phyllis Vermeulen. Colin took an active interest in most sports - baseball, hockey, curling, golf, fishing, hunting and outdoor activities. He was also active in many of the community building projects. He enjoyed his many hunting and fishing trips, especially the trip to Alaska in 1978. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacGregor United Church with Rev. Quentin Robinson officiating. Interment will take place in the MacGregor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Clarkes Funeral Home, MacGregor in care of arrangements.
